1948 North American Championship - Puget Sound, WA
The North American Silver Star Championship, sailed on Puget Sound in August 1948, was won by Charles and Robertson Ross in their 11-year-old home-built Cene, the oldest boat in the competing fleet. This was the second time the event has been held, the first sailing taking place in 1939 when the World’s Championship was in Germany. The series is intended to provide a Class A Championship for North America during years when the World Championship is held on some other continent.
