The weather wasn't the greatest but the competitors had a fantastic time. This year's Governor's Cup featured three Junior skippers, Bob Lippincott from Tred Avon Yacht Club, Laura Beigel from Severn Sailing Association and Nicolaus Pro from Riverton Yacht Club. All 5 of the entries had one person on board under 25! Maybe next year this will be a Junior Star event!! There were 5 races over two days up, down, across and back the Delaware River. Reaching is not a lost art on this river! A delicious barbeque cookout with live music and the Sun topped off Saturday. Sunday provided more breeze, more cloudy dark skies. Jim Greenfield and his RC were able to get 3 races in to complete the series. Thank you to Riverton YC for a wonderful time and to Joe and Bogna Pro for hosting a small Star get together after Saturday's dinner. |
