English Bay June Series & Fleet Qualifier 2006

The June Series was used as the Fleet Qualifier for the 2006 Worlds. All teams weighed in on Friday and Saturday before racing. Saturday was a light shifty Easterly of 4-8 knots for the first three races and then a light North Westerly for the last race under cloudy skies. On Sunday, a promissing Westerly before the start faded and three races were sailed in a light and variable Westerly winds. Dennis Burgess and Dave Kershaw won the regatta and the Peterson Trophy as well as earning the right to be the English Bay Fleet Representatives at the 2006 World Championship in San Francisco.
