Regatta Base

Rain, thunderstorms and microbursts - about the only thing we didn't see this weekend was Marshall himself. The 2010 Marshall Brown Regatta was won by Tomas Hornos and Christian Giannini over Joe Zambella and Bill Paton. Five races were sailed but we only scored the first four per the call of the regatta. The winds were SSW on the first day and ENE for the second day. Wind speed never got over 12 knots. A small turn out of seven boats had good to great racing on both days. After the sailing we all sat around the tables in the Pilot House at the club and told stories about Marshall and Mrs. B. Joe Duplin dropped by and joined in with a few stories of his own. Good sailing, good RC work and a good friend remembered.
