District 6 Championship

The District 6 Championship was hosted by CYC in Seattle and sailed in Puget Sound out of Shilshole. Winds were predominately Northerly 3-8 knots on Saturday but shifts from the Northwest and East were also to be found mixed in with the occasional hole. Carl Buchan was always into the new breeze first or on the smart side of shifts and strung up 3 bullets on Saturday. CYC hosted a great dinner Saturday night. Racing didn't look promising on Sunday morning, until a solid 8 knot North/Northwesterly filled in around noon and the fleet got the last race off in perfect flat water conditions. Carl Buchan won the Blue Star, Bill Buchan was 2nd and Dave Watt was 3rd. The Masters was won by Bill Buchan and the Green Star by Craig Wilshire.
