2014 District 12 Championship

Sailed on Lake George, New York, USA.

Friday started with a light southerly breeze, which was supposed to be north, so sure enough, back to shore by 11:30am, then by 1pm, breeze starts from the north and away we go! 3 races scheduled for Friday, not enough breeze for all 3, ending the 2 race day with Dave Ivey first, Tom White second and Steve Rottier and Mark Passmore tied for third place.

Saturday brought the same event as Friday, nice south breeze dies, go to shore wait and have lunch, get back to the north. 2 races scheduled for Saturday, and make up race for Sunday reserve day, finishing with Mark Passmore frrst, Bob Krahulik second and Brian Cramer third.

Sunday make up day, found Brian Cramer at an airport so his crew could get home, "you might miss something Brian!" was said by all! But that smart ol' Canandian boy knew something we didn't know!

SOooo! there it is, from the south, but this time its much stronger south, and away we went! Only to find that it was time for "Time" to win a race, which it did with grace! The word Mirror comes to mind!

Meanwhile back on shore sailor scramble to get packed up, and make the awards ceremony. But this was a super special ceremony for the Lake George fleet, as one of their longest and most supportive fleet member, Hank Rowan was there and was kind enough to present the new District Champ the District trophy and what better fleet to hand it to, of course, the back to back District Champion himself, Rick Dhein!
