Two new entries join the 2012 Star Winter Series (SWS) Presented By EFG International, and anyone who thought the SWS was going to be a mellow and relaxing ride should think again! 2009 Star World Champ George Szabo (San Diego, CA) joins the fleet for the second event in the five-regatta series this coming weekend; the Commodore’s Cup, and with 15 entries already – a 60% increase over last year’s fleet – it promises to be a hard-fought weekend. Szabo’s brought some ammo, too: Biscayne Bay guru and 2000 World Champ crew Magnus Liljedahl as crew. As good as Szabo and Liljedahl are, another multiple World Champ (Snipe), past Rolex Yachtsman of the Year, and longtime top Star skipper will make sure this weekend is no walkover; Florida resident Augie Diaz makes his Star Winter Series debut this weekend as well.
