1° Trofeo "Oséi e Stéle"


12 NM long race on the classical route Bogliaco -Isola del Trimelone - Bogliaco.

The condition of this new race was simply perfect with the south wind of Garda ("ora") blowing all day long from 10 to 18 knots. Race started at 1 pm on a downwind leg with great surfin' condition under 15-18 knots. The first that round the half-way mark (Isola del Trimelone) was "Bibo" Dominici, the crane boss at Bogliaco old harbour on his first race as skipper with the former Italia champion Alberto Rossari as crew, followed by Claudio Tonoli - Giambattista Gatti.

After that it was a long way back upwind to Bogliaco with big hikin' condition, waves and so on...

At the end was Paolo Masserdotti and Massimiliano Tassini that won the race with good choices immediately on the first part of the beat, playing the game of the shifts with their Lillia 8114.

At the evening big dinner with the classical "spiedo", traditional "Bresciana" County cookin' at Hotel Bogliaco. The prize ceremony was conducted by "Mago Forrest" Duilio Zane with the presence of the mayor of Gargnano Mr. Scarpetta, the president of Circolo Vela Gargnano, challenging for the next America's Cup, Mr. Rizzardi and the former world champion Roberto Benamati.
