Class Update
The Fall 2005 Starlights Magazine has been mailed. However the dates of the 2006 European Championship have been changed since its publication. The correct dates are August 5-12 in Hamburg, Germany.

Star Class world champions are a big part of the 2005-2006 Volvo Ocean Race which starts Nov. 5 with an in-port race at Sanxenxo, Spain. Torben Grael is leading the Brazil 1 team, with fellow world champions Marcelo Ferreira and Alan Adler onboard. Paul Cayard is skipper of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl, with Freddy Lööf joining him.

For sailors of District 1, there will be a meeting on Nov. 12th that will focus on increased participation in district events. For all US sailors, US SAILING is offering a One Design Symposium on fleet management and growth in Annapolis, Maryland on Nov. 19-20.
