Upon wearing his newly purchased International Star Class Blazer Patch, Ron Schauble met and interacted with many people who also shared a history with the Star. One of his more memorable conversations was with Tommy Heausler whose father, William Heausler, used to race Stars. Heausler shared stories about his father from “back in the day,” when he would travel with his Star "Rebel" to events.
A few days later, Heausler followed up his conversation with Schauble by forwarding an event program from the 1948 Spring Championship of the Western Hemisphere held in
Gulfport, Mississippi. Heusler believed his father participated in the event and that the 1948 Championship was where his parents met for the first time.
What a small world!
