Member Since 1939 of the Chicago Yacht Club
It is with great sadness that the Chicago Yacht Club relays the passing of our most senior member, Mr. Robert Cameron. Robert was 101 years old and was a member of the Chicago Yacht Club Old Guard since 1975.

Robert K. Cameron, age 101 of Chicago; Fourth son of the late William Cameron, founder of the Cameron Can Machinery Company; beloved husband of Gerthrude; loving father of Patricia (Jerry) Lynch; cherished grandfather of Jerry Jr. (Pamela), David (Diane) and James (Kathleen) Lynch; adoring great-grandfather of eight. Bob was the oldest member of the Chicago Yacht Club, a member of the St. Andrew's Society and a former member of Ivanhoe Country Club.
Bob sailed Stars from as least 1958 when we won the First Fourth District Fall Finale as his photo with the trophy was in the 1958 Star Class log
Visitation Thursday 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service 11 a.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St., Oak Park. Interment Forest Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob's name to the St. Andrew's Society are appreciated.
