Beware of Scammers When Selling Boats

We have experienced a couple of scammers trying to get money from our members selling boats. If it smells like a scam, it probably is. One of our members has already lost money.

The two scammers we know of so far are:

Squillace Marie and Ryan Kuss. Kuss says he is from Sweden and he will send you a check larger than what you are asking for your boat. He asks that you return to him the balance. Marie’s request is similar. Both of these people will correspond with you but will not answer a question about sailing or Stars.

Just beware and be careful.
