Romain Andrieux, new president of ASPROSTAR, presented the following honor to Jacques Puissegur at the conclusion of the 2009 Eastern Hemisphere Championship in Hyeres, France.

Jacques Puissegur has decided to retire from the position of ASPROSTAR (Star boat owner French association) President.
You may know that ASPROSTAR is the French representative, on behalf of all the french Star sailors, in front of the national federation for sail racing : Federation Francaise de Voile (FFV).
Jacques held this position for a long time (15 to 20 years) and decided to retire to give room to younger Star sailors as he is now 73.
During his tenure, Jacques hdid a lot for the Star boat situation in France including the recent agreement with with the FFV to unify the Star French Championship.
Jacques is of course a famous Starboat helmsman and is still winning a lot of good races in his fleet in Nice and around.
