California Y.C. will be hosting the Last Chance Regatta (LCR) to qualify the last 5 spots for the U.S. Olympic Trials. Date is September 28-30 with racing Friday through Sunday.

Any qualification spots unclaimed from the first 3 qualification events for the Trials (US Sailing Team, Western Hemisphere Championship, and the North American Championship - 5 each) will be added to the 5 spots at the Last Chance regatta.

The question has been raised as to whether the LCR will be open to those 15 teams already qualified. The current position of the OSC is that they may not compete in this event, but this is subject to change. The U.S. Olympic Trials NOR will answer this question.

California Y.C. will host the two-day King of Spain regatta before the U.S. Olympic Trials begin, on September 22-23, to give all competitors some final practice/tuneup. The U.S. Olympic Trials are to be held at California Y.C. on October 3-14.
