Today at the ISAF Annual Meeting in Copenhagen the ISAF Council voted with 33 in favor, 3 against, and 3 abstensions to approve the STAR CLASS as the equipment for the men's keelboat in the 2008 Olympic Games in China.
The relationship between the Class and the ISAF is at present extremely positive as witnessed by the attendance of over 250 people to the Star Class reception.
Several officers of the class were together in Copenhagen with the Star Class International President Riccardo Simoneschi, namely International Vice President Bill Allen, International Vice President Hermann Weiler, and International Secretary Claude Bonanni.
